Parks Highway stakeholders —
Thank you for your continued interest in the Parks Highway, Phase 3, Pittman to Big Lake Road Project. Design for Phase 3, Pittman Road to Big Lake Road, is now complete. The department’s goal is to reduce the number and severity of crashes and construct the highway to accommodate future traffic volumes. The project will build frontage roads and other connections in key areas. The project remains one of the department’s highest priorities.
Construction is expected to begin in 2020, pending necessary right-of-way and easement acquisitions, and finalizing agreements with utility companies. Construction will take at least two years. This project is 93% federally funded and 7% state funded. The first two phases, Lucus Road to Church Road, and Church Road to Pittman Road, are complete.
For more information, view the design overview on the project website. If you have questions, please contact the project team by replying to this email (email@example.com) or calling Anne Brooks, Public Involvement Coordinator, at 907-272-1877.
