Felony DUI, DWLR, VCOR - Trapper Creek

Police BlotterOn 04/03/2015 at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Chevrolet van for a moving violation near mile post 112 of the Parks highway in Trapper Creek.

An investigation revealed the driver, Anthony Hoover, age 49, of Anchorage, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license. Hoover was also on conditions of release from a separate case which included conditions that he may not consume alcohol. Hoover was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence, Driving while License Revoked, and Violating Conditions of Release.

Further investigation revealed Hoover had been previously convicted of a Felony DUI within the last ten years making the present offence a Felony DUI. Hoover was transported and held at the MSPTF on $5000.00 bail plus a Court Approved Third Party.
