Man killed in KGB crash

Police BlotterOn 04/19/2015 at approximately 4:55 p.m. Alaska State Troopers responded to a REDDI report near mile 10.5 Knik Goose Bay in Wasilla. A Ford Ranger was reported to be driving south bound on Knik Goose Bay Rd. while driving into opposing traffic, speeding, and passing in no passing zones.

Responding Troopers located the vehicle near mile 12 Knik Goose Bay Rd. after it left the roadway and rolled several times. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Carl F. McDearman, age 57, of Wasilla. McDearman did not survive the collision. McDearman was wearing his safety belt.

The SME responded to the collision scene and took possession of the body.

The investigation continues.
