Big Lake Community Council Meeting Tonight


You're invited to attend the Big Lake Community Council Meeting. Tonight March 13th, 7 pm @ The Big Lake Lions Rec Center.

The meeting is open to all members of the community of Big Lake and guests. The Community Council serves all of Greater Big Lake, House District 8.

This is an opportunity to meet some of your neighbors, and to learn about issues that impact your community. Announce your group's event.

You can become a member of the Community Council by attending a meeting and paying the annual dues of $10. You are not required to be a member to attend the meetings or to speak. All are welcome. Visit the website at for more information and membership forms.

The Purpose of The Big Lake Community Council is to provide a direct and continuing means of citizen participation in government and local affairs; To provide a method by which they can work together for expression and discussion of their opinions, needs, and desires and recommendations of residents and groups, and to give local governing bodies an improved basis for decision-making and assignment of priorities for all capital improvements and governmental programs affecting community development and individual well-being.

It's only an hour of your time, well worth it and you can speak to the Community Council on issues that are important to you.

If you're not involved then you don't have much of a leg to stand on if you don't like the way Big Lake is being governed.
