Houston man arrested for Eluding & Warrants

Police BlotterOn 05/15/2017 at approximately 1:23 am, Troopers responded to a church on Seward Meridian Pkwy in Wasilla for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, a green 2002 Dodge Durango quickly exited the parking lot almost striking the Trooper’s vehicle. The vehicle ran a stop sign and failed to signal and Troopers attempted a traffic stop of the vehicle.

The vehicle failed to yield to the Trooper for approximately 25 minutes while driving recklessly. Speeds during the pursuit were between 80 and 90 MPH. The vehicle came to a dead end on Lynn Road off of Fairview Loop.

The driver, Robert Paulsberg age 53 of Houston, was arrested without incident. Further investigation revealed Paulsberg to have $4050 in warrants. Paulsberg was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $2500 bail in addition to his warrants.

It's no wonder our justice system doesn't work----this guy has $4000 of warrants, gets arrested, and they will let him out on bail for $2500--- that sure helps pay the bills!
