Fatal crash on KGB

Police BlotterOn 5/16/2017 at approximately 4:07 pm, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a collision on Knik Goose Bay Rd. near Foothills.

Investigation revealed a black 1993 Toyota Tacoma pickup, driven by Daniel Alexander, 37 of Wasilla, was southbound on KGB when it crossed the centerline into the northbound lane and struck a green 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Curtis Tucker, 30 of Wasilla. Both Alexander, who was not wearing a seatbelt, and his passenger, a child in a car seat, were ejected from the vehicle.

While being transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Alexander succumbed to his injuries. The passenger in Alexander’s vehicle was flown to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Tucker and his five passengers were transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Alexander’s NOK have been notified.
