Big Lake man charged with vehicle theft

Police BlotterOn February 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen 2014 Jeep Wrangler from an address on N Brocton Ave in Wasilla. The vehicle was located by the owner a short time later driving up a nearby ATV trail. Troopers responded and utilized an Alaska Wildlife Trooper patrol truck to follow the vehicle’s tracks approximately two miles up the ATV trail where it was located.

The two males who were out with the Jeep were identified as Case Huston 29 YOA of Big Lake, and Lorenzo Hausser 21 YOA of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Huston and Hausser had committed the crimes of Vehicle Theft in the First Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Huston and Hausser were transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where they were held on no bail pending arraignment.
